Travelers seeking immersive experiences in 2026 will find Amelia Island offering a range of annual events that highlight the culture and heritage of this Northeast Florida destination. The island, known for its beaches and historic sites, has announced five major events for visitors to consider when planning their trips.

The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a season running from January through June. The festival will feature performances by artists such as Emmylou Harris and offer both classical and crossover music in intimate venues. Educational programming is also planned, giving attendees access to world-class musicians.

Automotive enthusiasts can attend the Amelia Island Concours Week from March 5-8. This event includes the well-known Amelia Concours d’Elegance, which in 2026 will honor racing figure Dario Franchitti MBE. Activities include auctions, seminars, community events, and curated displays focused on automotive design and innovation.

From May 1-3, the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival will take place for its 61st year. The festival features local shrimp dishes, a parade, fireworks, artisan vendors, and entertainment throughout Fernandina Beach’s historic district.

In September, Amelia Island Dining Month will showcase local restaurants with prix-fixe menus and chef-led experiences. Each year a new charitable partner is selected so diners can support local causes while enjoying special culinary offerings.

December brings Dickens on Centre from December 10-13. This holiday event transforms downtown Fernandina Beach into a Victorian-themed village inspired by “A Christmas Carol.” Attractions include street performers, markets, film screenings, children’s activities, parades, and themed evening events.
