Amelia Island has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler, ranking No. 9 in the publication’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. This marks more than 15 years that Amelia Island has appeared on this list, making it the only Florida island to be included among the top islands for much of the past two decades.

The annual survey is notable for its large participation, with over 575,000 readers contributing their votes this year. The results are published online and will appear in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler.

Two resorts on Amelia Island also received recognition among Florida’s best resorts: Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa was ranked No. 4, and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island came in at No. 9.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

Amelia Island is known for its beaches, wildlife, and historic downtown district in Fernandina Beach. More information about visiting can be found at https://www.ameliaisland.com/.
