Applications are now being accepted for the Cindy Edelman Excellence in Teaching Fellowship, a program that supports K–12 teachers in Duval County public schools. The Jacksonville Public Education Fund (JPEF) announced the opening of applications, which began on October 1 and will continue until January 16, 2026.

The fellowship is designed to allow teachers to create and pursue their own professional learning experiences. According to JPEF, interested educators can find more information or apply through the official website at EdelmanFellowship.org or directly access the application page at EdelmanFellowship.org/how-to-apply.

A previous participant, Alexandra Hall from River City Science Academy Innovation, took part in an Ecology Project International program in Costa Rica with fellow teacher Stephanie White as part of their fellowship. Their project aimed to incorporate real-world environmental issues into math and science classes.
