Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty has announced that its Metro Offices in Avondale/Ortega and San Marco/San Jose participated in the annual Be an Angel holiday drive organized by Family Support Services of Duval and Nassau Counties. This marks the fifth consecutive year the company has taken part in the initiative, which aims to provide holiday gifts for children in foster care on the First Coast.

Realtors and employees from the Metro offices either purchased gifts based on children’s wish lists or made monetary donations. As a result, 50 children in foster care in Duval County received presents during the holidays.

Ann King, President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty, said, “We are so proud of our Metro team and their continued support of the Be an Angel campaign to ensure all children have a gift under the tree. One of our greatest joys as a company is supporting charitable organizations that make a positive difference in the lives of many local children and families.”

Kimberly Waterhouse, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty, leads the firm’s participation in Be an Angel. She stated, “Every child deserves to feel loved at the holidays. This is more than buying gifts. It’s ensuring that a child feels the magic of Christmas and knows their community cares about them. It is our pleasure to bring smiles, love, and laughter to their day.”

Waterhouse also secured ongoing support from the Gray Family Foundation, resulting in additional donations that will help fulfill Christmas wishes for another 204 children served by Family Support Services. The real estate company is among Family Support Services’ top donors for Be an Angel, which is described as the agency’s largest giving program each year.

Leigh Ann Luttrell, Community Engagement Manager for Family Support Services Duval and Nassau Counties, commented on this partnership: “We deeply appreciate the partnership with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty and the Gray Family Foundation for their ongoing support of our community’s children in foster care through Be an Angel. Each year they provide enormous joy to these children and teens, and their partnership is an important part of our program success through the year.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty operates across Northeast Florida with more than 500 real estate professionals serving several counties including Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Flagler, and Volusia. In 2024 alone, it closed over $1.6 billion in sales volume and ranks among the Top 25 companies within its network.
