For the seventh consecutive year, Brevard Zoo has been nominated as one of the top zoos in the United States by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards.

Brevard Zoo, which first opened in 1994, was established by community efforts with a focus on connecting people with wildlife. Over three decades, it has developed into an organization recognized for its work in animal welfare, conservation, and education.

Last year, Brevard Zoo ranked sixth in the nation according to this award. Its membership program was also acknowledged as the fourth best zoo membership program in the U.S. by the same awards. The program offers members unlimited visits and early admission to the zoo.

A panel of experts and editors from 10Best selected this year’s nominees. Winners will be chosen based on popular vote. Voting is open until Monday, March 9 at noon, and results will be published on Wednesday, March 19 on the 10Best website. Supporters can cast their votes at https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/brevard-zoo-melbourne-florida/.

“Brevard Zoo is home to more than 700 animals representing 170 species from all over the world. As a not-for-profit organization, it is a leader in the fields of animal wellness, education and conservation,” according to information provided by Brevard Zoo.
