The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville announced on March 16 the winners of its 49th Annual Arts Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations for their contributions to the city’s arts and culture sector.

The awards highlight the importance of creative leaders in shaping Jacksonville as a destination for quality of life, tourism, and economic development. This year’s theme, Neon Noir, celebrates those who inspire and energize the local creative community.

Diana Donovan, Executive Director of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, said, “For nearly five decades, the Arts Awards have recognized creative leaders, cultural catalysts and artistic innovators who help define Jacksonville’s vibrant creative sector. We are honored to recognize this year’s award winners and to champion a sector that strengthens quality of life, drives economic impact, fuels destination building and positions Greater Jacksonville as a dynamic place to live, work and visit.”

Evan Rajta from Decca Live said, “Decca Live is proud to partner with the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville as the presenting sponsor for the 49th Annual Arts Awards powered by Decca Live. We’re excited to host this celebration of the artists and cultural leaders shaping Jacksonville and to welcome the community into downtown for a dynamic evening that champions the creativity and cultural energy that make our city thrive.”

The event serves as CCGJ’s largest annual fundraiser. The organization reports that it returns an average of 92 cents per dollar back into supporting local arts initiatives through regranting efforts. The upcoming awards ceremony will be held at Decca Live with a cocktail-style format designed for mingling rather than traditional seating.

Tickets are limited for this event. More information is available at culturalcouncil.org/artsawards.
