The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is encouraging the community to support local artists and cultural initiatives through its holiday shopping events. Susan Tudor, Director of Retail & Visitor Experience at the museum, said, “Each item in the Cummer Shop tells a story; of the artists who create, of the museum that inspires, and of the community that supports both. Shopping here during the holidays turns every purchase into an act of connection and support for Jacksonville’s vibrant cultural scene.”

On Sunday, November 30, the museum will participate in Museum Store Sunday. This event is part of a global effort involving over 2,200 museums worldwide to promote mindful shopping and engagement with culture. Visitors to the Cummer Shop can expect special offers, savings on all purchases, and a selection of items from local artisans such as clothing, jewelry, books, and holiday décor. Purchases made on this day will directly benefit the museum’s educational programs and outreach efforts. More details are available at https://www.cummermuseum.org/event/museum-store-sunday-3/.

The museum will also host Champagne & Shopping on Thursday, December 4 and Friday, December 5. Attendees can enjoy champagne while browsing curated holiday collections with personalized assistance and storewide discounts. The two-day event aims to make holiday shopping an enjoyable experience while supporting arts in Jacksonville. Information about this event can be found at https://www.cummermuseum.org/event/champagne-shopping-5/2025-12-05/.

Founded in 1958 by Ninah Cummer, the Cummer Museum has been providing access to art spanning five millennia and historic gardens along Jacksonville’s riverfront for more than sixty years. The institution is recognized as one of Northeast Florida’s most important cultural centers.
