Film Florida has announced that it will offer packages for its members to attend the Cannes Marché du Film and the Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 12–23, 2026. The opportunity is made possible through a partnership with Film USA.
The Cannes Marché du Film operates alongside the Cannes Film Festival and is considered one of the largest film markets in the world. It draws thousands of industry professionals, including producers, distributors, sales agents, and buyers from around the globe. The International Village at the market serves as a central networking hub where countries present their cinema and film services.
Registration for the “General Member Package” costs $1,000 for members and $1,200 for non-members. The package includes a badge for entry to the Cannes Marché du Film, full access to the Film USA Pavilion, a Cinando account per badge holder, invitations to all panel discussions and receptions at the pavilion—including a proposed “Florida Day”—and recommendations for accommodations and travel. Attendees can also join a webinar on logistics related to attending Cannes.
Film Florida outlined several reasons why filmmakers may want to participate in this event. These include networking opportunities with industry professionals such as producers and financiers; chances to secure distribution deals; access to sales and financing prospects; exposure for new projects in progress; insights from panels and workshops led by top industry figures; possibilities for international collaboration; increased reputation from participating in a prestigious event; direct access to global film buyers; peer connections within the filmmaking community; and visibility that can help emerging filmmakers advance their careers.
“If you are interested in the package with Film Florida and Film USA, please e-mail info@filmflorida.org by January 23, 2026,” states an announcement from Film Florida. “Registration for ‘General Member Package’ will be $1,000 ($1,200 for non-members). If you are interested in sponsoring the ‘Florida Day’ at the Film USA Pavilion, please email info@filmflorida.org.”
As part of its regular activities, Film Florida provides networking and professional development opportunities throughout Florida. The organization also participates actively in member film festivals across the state and offers financial grants and scholarships to industry professionals and students. According to Film Florida representatives: “It’s extremely important that our members, and non-members, have the opportunity to travel outside Florida to promote the state to worldwide content creators. These networking opportunities are vital for local film commissioners and industry professionals to meet and connect with potential partners and clients.”
Film Florida encourages those not currently enrolled as members to consider joining: “Film Florida’s growing membership provides a network, a platform and the chance to play an active part in solidifying Florida’s position as a major production destination.”
Film USA is described as “a 501(c)6 non-profit association of USA film commissions that supports and promotes the US film industry and culture.” Its mission focuses on maximizing economic benefits by facilitating connections among stakeholders.
