Film Florida, in collaboration with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale, is organizing an after-hours tour and networking event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event will feature a private tour of the museum, an information session, and opportunities for filmmakers and creators to connect.

MAD Arts serves as a museum, community center, and experimental space focused on art and technology. It showcases interactive installations, outdoor sculptures, research projects, and large-scale projections that highlight the integration of art with technological innovation. The venue aims to give visitors insight into how art and technology evolve together.

The event will include a presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. According to organizers: “Join us for a private tour of the museum and a brief presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman, followed by drinks, light bites, and networking.”

The gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts located at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach. Attendance is free for WIFT members while guests are required to pay $10.

Organizers encourage all filmmakers and creators to participate: “All filmmakers and creators are welcome and encouraged to attend!”
