Florida Chamber Foundation identifies top high-demand careers in new statewide report

The Florida Chamber Foundation’s Future of Work Florida initiative has released a list of the Top 30 High-Demand Careers in each region of the state. The selection is based on data from FloridaCommerce, focusing on jobs with strong projected growth and replacement needs, as well as those offering wages at or above the state’s median of $22.53 per hour, which equates to $46,860 annually. These careers are found in sectors such as healthcare, information technology, education, business and professional services, architecture and construction, transportation and logistics, and hospitality.

The report provides details about projected income for each occupation and outlines the necessary training pathways. According to the Foundation, 15 of the top careers require a bachelor’s degree while 13 can be accessed with postsecondary training or certification.
