The Florida Chamber of Commerce announced it will participate in National Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day on October 15, joining chambers across the country in recognizing the contributions of Florida’s local and regional chambers. There are more than 200 local and regional chambers in Florida, and they play a significant role in economic development, workforce growth, and community advancement.

The Florida Chamber emphasized that these local organizations support businesses, develop talent pipelines, promote infrastructure projects, and advocate for policies to make the state more competitive. They are also aligned with the goals of the Florida 2030 Blueprint, which aims to secure the state’s economic future.

Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, stated, “Local chambers are the heartbeat of Florida’s communities. They give businesses a voice, champion entrepreneurship, and bring the Florida 2030 Blueprint to life at the local level. We’re proud to work to ensure Florida remains the best place in the world to live, work, learn, and do business with Florida’s local chamber network. As I’ve said many times, show me a strong community and I’ll show you a strong chamber.”

On October 15, the Florida Chamber plans to highlight local chambers that demonstrate leadership in workforce development, economic diversification, and community prosperity. The organization encourages businesses and community members to participate by sharing their stories and tagging their local chamber on social media using #SupportYourLocalChamber, #FloridaChamber, and #FloridaBusiness.

The Florida Chamber of Commerce represents the state’s business community and has been working for over a century to create economic opportunities and job growth in Florida. More information can be found at floridachamber.com.
