The Florida Medical Association (FMA) hosted medical students and residents from around the state at its Tallahassee office for its annual Days at the Capitol event on Tuesday. The gathering coincided with the ongoing session of the Florida Legislature.
Members of the FMA’s Medical Student Section (MSS) and Resident & Fellow Section (RFS) visited the state Capitol to observe legislative proceedings and learn about advocacy efforts for physicians licensed in Florida. The event offered participants an opportunity to see how the FMA represents physician interests during legislative discussions.
“We thank all of our participants for bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this year’s event!” stated the organization.
This initiative is part of the FMA’s ongoing efforts to engage future physicians in public policy and advocacy, aiming to familiarize them with processes that impact their profession and patient care across Florida.
