Nominations are now open for the 5th Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award, which honors volunteer leaders who have made significant contributions to Florida’s manufacturing sector. The award was established in memory of Bob Provitola, former Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Provitola was recognized for his dedication to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in the state.

According to FloridaMakes, “This award was created in memory of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Bob dedicated his career to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida, all with the goal of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.”

The organization further stated: “Each year, we continue his legacy by recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism.”

Eligibility for the award is based on volunteer service that does not require nominees to serve as a loaned executive. Nominations are submitted through an online form and will be reviewed by a committee composed of manufacturers and stakeholders. All candidates are evaluated based on their contributions to manufacturing within Florida.

The deadline for nominations is October 8, 2025. More information about the nomination process can be found at www.FloridaMakes.com/Bob-Provitola-Award.
