The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees & Membership Services Department recently held a week-long class at the William Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Maryland. The purpose of the event was to support members in establishing retiree clubs at both district and local levels.

According to the department, this initiative aims to strengthen retiree activism, provide additional resources for retirees, and enhance mentorship opportunities for younger union members. The department encourages those interested in forming an IAM retiree club to visit their official website for more information: https://www.goiam.org/departments/general-secretary-treasurer/membership-services/.

The IAM continues efforts to engage its retired members and integrate their experience into broader union activities.
