The IAM Midwest Territory recently held its first Snowmobile Run Fundraiser in Eagle River, Wisconsin, to support Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC). The event brought together union members, their families, and community supporters for a day on the Northwoods trails. More than 20 participants rode snowmobiles to raise funds for GDA | TLC.
After the ride, IAM District 5 was honored with the “IAM Midwest Territory Top Dog Award” for raising the most money for GDA | TLC in 2025. Jeff Hoopman, Directing Business Representative of District 5, accepted the award on behalf of its members.
“The Spirit of the Midwest continues to grow because of the dedication of our members,” said IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Sam Cicinelli. “Thank you to everyone who participated and donated. Their commitment and generosity make a lasting impact far beyond the winter trails.”
The fundraiser was organized by Ronnie Gonzalez, Special Representative for IAM Midwest Territory. Gonzalez thanked TrackSide, a local family-owned business that provided snowmobile rentals and gear at no cost. “We are incredibly grateful to TrackSide, a family-owned business, for providing the snowmobile rentals and delivering a first-class tour experience,” said Gonzalez. “We also want to thank their general manager for generously donating the snowmobile gear rentals. Their support allowed our participants to focus on what truly matters – raising funds and awareness for GDA | TLC.”
Additional support came from IAM General Secretary-Treasurer Dora Cervantes and IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President David Sullivan along with their staff.
Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines offers trained service dogs free of charge to people who are blind or visually impaired, veterans, children with autism, and facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
