The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for two upcoming leadership programs. The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to 6, 2026, while the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is scheduled for March 15 to 20, 2026. Both events will be held at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The Women’s Leadership Program aims to encourage female union members to become more active within their local chapters and districts. According to IAM, this program focuses on building leadership skills and covers areas such as organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

For those who have already completed the initial program, the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program offers an opportunity to further develop these skills. Participants in the advanced session will continue their education in leadership development with a focus on similar core topics.

“IAM sisters are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” states the organization.

Details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum can be found in the official call letter issued by IAM. Registration must be completed using the Departmental Program Registration Form.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. The deadline for registering for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is February 11, 2026.

Members seeking more information or who have questions are encouraged to contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747.

IAM encourages eligible members to participate in these educational opportunities as part of efforts to build a stronger and more inclusive organization.
