The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Union announced on Mar. 26 that it will host the 2026 Kourpias K-9 Classic motorcycle ride from July 10 to July 12, supporting Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines.

The event aims to raise funds for Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines, a charity that provides service dogs for visually impaired individuals, veterans, and families affected by autism. The ride is presented by the IAM Union Western Territory and invites union members, districts, locals, and employers to participate or contribute.

This year’s route will take riders through several notable areas in Washington state. Participants will travel across Puget Sound, alpine mountain passes, river valleys, orchards, vineyards, and the North Cascades National Park.

“The IAM Western Territory is proud to host this year’s traditional Kourpias K9 Classic motorcycle ride to support our union’s favorite charity, GDA | TLC,” said IAM Union Western Territory General Vice President Robert “Bobby” Martinez. “This ride is so important to so many of our IAM members who are proud to contribute to a cause that brings us together in service.”

Donors can participate at different levels starting with $100 for Puppy Treats up through corporate sponsorships as high as $75,000 under the Nose to Tail category. These contributions offer various forms of recognition at the event.

Organizers encourage all locals and members to get involved by assembling teams for the ride or making donations. The goal is not only financial support but also raising awareness about the needs of those served by Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines.
