The International Labor Communications Association (ILCA) will hold its biennial convention in New Orleans from November 18 to 20, 2025. The event will feature community service activities, networking receptions, the ILCA awards ceremony, and a schedule of panels and workshops. The theme for this year’s convention has not yet been announced.

The ILCA is an organization that supports labor communicators across North America and is affiliated with the AFL-CIO. DeLane Adams, Assistant Communications Director for the IAM Union, currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the ILCA.

The IAM Communications Department and its affiliates have received recognition at previous ILCA Labor Media Awards Contests. This contest is known as the largest and longest-running competition dedicated to labor communications in North America.

Recent winners from the IAM Union include Angela Colaizzi, who received the Max Steinbock Award for “NLRB Takes Down Union Buster,” Ashley Mumford and the IAM Journal Team who earned third place for Best Print Publication with their Summer 2023 issue, and Ross Olson who took third place in Best Design – Single Issue Publication.

Past conventions have provided opportunities for labor communications professionals to exchange best practices throughout North America.

Registration for the upcoming convention is open to all interested parties; membership in ILCA is not required to attend.
