The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will host the eighth annual “Very Shrimpy Christmas” event on December 6 at VyStar Ballpark. The event, presented by Fun 4 First Coast Kids, will offer free photos with Santa Claus, holiday crafts, vendor tables featuring treats, and appearances by the Jumbo Shrimp mascots. Classic holiday movies will be shown on the stadium’s HD videoboard.

Concessions and holiday refreshments will be available for purchase during the event. The VyStar Credit Union Souvenir Store is also set to open for attendees. Organizers note that “A Very Shrimpy Christmas is a stroller and wheelchair-accessible event with seating available both on the concourse and in the stadium seating bowl.” They add that “the field will not be open for this event, and no outside food or beverages will be permitted into the ballpark.”

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and compete in the International League. In addition to baseball games, they organize community events aimed at providing affordable family entertainment in Northeast Florida. Since rebranding in 2017, they have received several marketing and sales awards and consistently lead minor league sports attendance across Florida.
