Jacksonville Symphony to perform works by Barber, Mendelssohn and Vaughan Williams in March

The Jacksonville Symphony announced on March 12 that it will present a concert featuring works by Samuel Barber, Felix Mendelssohn, and Ralph Vaughan Williams under the direction of conductor Bellincampi. The performances are scheduled for March 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Jacoby Symphony Hall.

The program includes Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 “Scottish,” which is known for its evocative depiction of Scotland’s landscapes and history. The concert aims to offer audiences a diverse musical experience with pieces from three renowned composers.

The Jacksonville Symphony is recognized as Northeast Florida’s leading nonprofit performing arts organization. It presents live performances at Jacoby Symphony Hall in the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts as well as other venues throughout the area. According to the organization, it reaches over 155,500 individuals through more than 95 performances each season and also provides music instruction for youth through its Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras.
