Community Hospice Young Professionals (CHYPs) will host a mimosa brunch called “CHYPs & Champs” at Refinery Jax Beach on October 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at 831 First Street North and is open to guests of all ages.
The brunch will feature an open bar with mimosa pitchers and breakfast foods. Attendees can also watch the Jacksonville Jaguars play against the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium during the event. Proceeds from the brunch will benefit The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s campaign for the new Dorion Family Pediatric Center for Community PedsCare. This center provides pediatric palliative and hospice care for children with serious illnesses, as well as support for their families.
According to organizers, “Funds raised through events like CHYPs & Champs help expand and sustain these essential services in our community.”
CHYPs is a group of young professionals focused on raising awareness and funds for hospice care while encouraging community involvement and leadership. Registration information is available at www.thefoundationcares.org or by contacting the Foundation directly.
Community Hospice & Palliative Care has been providing services since 1979 and supports about 1,500 patients each day through its staff and volunteers. The organization serves patients in various settings including homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and inpatient centers. They state that no one is denied care due to inability to pay.
