Several new facilities and attractions have opened or are set to open in Ocala/Marion County, aiming to provide more activities and amenities for both residents and visitors.
Pickleball Kingdom, a large indoor pickleball facility, is scheduled to open this summer in northwest Ocala. The venue will cover approximately 37,000 square feet and offer 13 professional-grade indoor courts. In addition to the courts, Pickleball Kingdom will provide coaching and clinic programs for all skill levels, youth programs, leagues, tournaments, as well as spaces for community and corporate events.
Another recent development is Heart of the Park at Tuscawilla Park. This project involved converting the former American Legion building into a multi-use community hub. Opened on July 4, Heart of the Park includes weekly museum exhibits, a corner store, and flexible spaces designed for meetings and events.
