NEXGEN Roofing will begin work on a new roof for Miss Williams, a Springfield resident, on March 17, according to an announcement made on March 11. The donation is part of a collaboration between the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) Council, NEXGEN Roofing, and the NEXGEN Foundation.
The initiative aims to support local homeowners in need and strengthen community ties. Miss Williams said, “I haven’t had a roof since I moved to this house so this is a God-send.” She added, “I’ve been trying to get help and this is the help I needed.”
Miss Williams has lived in her historic home since 2004 and expressed concern about how Florida storms have affected her roof. The house was built in 1909. A neighbor referred her case to SPAR, which then worked with NEXGEN Roofing and its foundation to arrange the donation.
A representative from SPAR said, “I’m grateful to the neighbor who referred Miss Williams to SPAR and to Miss Williams for trusting us to work with her on her home. I’m especially grateful to NEXGEN Roofing and the NEXGEN Foundation for making this donation possible. This is a story of generosity and gratitude in Springfield, of neighbors helping neighbors, which is what our community is all about.”
Brandon Cornellier, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of NEXGEN Roofing, said, “When we founded NEXGEN Roofing, we committed to growing our impact alongside our business. Our goal isn’t just to lead our industry, but to set the standard for how small businesses give back to the communities that support them. Our partnership with SPAR has become one of the most meaningful and rewarding collaborations in our company’s history, and we look forward to many years of giving back together.”
