Samuel Reddick, a member of the Orange Education Support Professionals Association, has been named the 2026 Florida Education Association (FEA) Education Staff Professional of the Year. He will represent Florida in the national competition at the NEA ESP Conference.

Reddick’s work extends beyond academic support for students. According to Ron Pollard, President of Orange Education Support Professionals Association, “Samuel is a great example of what local community leadership looks like- his commitment to his students is the cornerstone of what Orange Education Support Professionals Association stands for and we are proud of his accomplishments and this award.”

Reddick’s principal described his efforts to promote inclusivity by organizing events such as a Citizenship Clinic with local immigration attorneys, spirit days, and multicultural nights. The principal recalled an incident where Reddick helped two homeless students gain access to basic necessities and worked with local organizations to secure housing for their family. “With all that he did to enrich our community, it is important to note that he never lost sight of the students as his priority. Often acting as a mentor for our students, he was critical in supporting attendance initiatives through home visits and parent communication,” said Reddick’s principal.

A State Representative also praised Reddick’s involvement in addressing issues affecting youth, including domestic violence and civic engagement. The representative highlighted Reddick’s creation of youth master classes and participation in aviation programs for young people. Additionally, Reddick founded an annual Christmas benefit serving more than 400 families across Central Florida by providing meals, gifts, and entertainment. The representative stated: “I can honestly say from my years of knowing him that he has expressed a consistent tireless effort to impact the lives around them and make a difference for future generations. I would highly recommend Samuel for any such honors you may be able to bestow.”
