SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream event has been recognized as one of the top five best theme park Halloween events in the United States by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The event was also named the number one Halloween event in Florida.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando. A new character, Havoc, has been introduced as the icon for this year’s festivities. According to SeaWorld, “Once bound by the Sirens, he now rides free as the face of fear at Howl-O-Scream. With fire, fury and no mercy, Havoc leads guests into a night where chaos is worshipped and fear fuels the experience.” The new stunt show “Throttle,” featuring motorcycles and fire effects, debuts this season with Havoc as its central figure.

To mark its national recognition, SeaWorld Orlando is offering a “Slash Sale,” with tickets starting at $45.99 on select nights. The ticket includes access to five haunted houses—three of which are new this year—six scare zones, four thrill rides open at night, two roaming groups of scare actors, five themed bars serving specialty cocktails such as the Solar Flare Margarita, limited-time food options like Spooky Teriyaki Chicken, and live entertainment throughout the evening.

Howl-O-Scream runs on select nights through November 1, 2025, from 7 p.m. to midnight at SeaWorld Orlando.

SeaWorld describes itself as a marine life theme park and accredited zoo and aquarium that aims to educate and inspire visitors about marine conservation. The organization operates parks in several locations including Orlando, San Antonio, San Diego, and Abu Dhabi. SeaWorld states that it has rescued over 42,000 animals to date and that proceeds from park operations support conservation initiatives through its non-profit foundation.
