Tim Hensley has been named Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service at Sporting JAX, a professional soccer club based in Jacksonville. Reporting directly to the club’s President and CEO, Hensley will be responsible for creating and implementing a ticketing and service strategy aimed at increasing attendance, boosting revenue, and improving the fan experience across all Sporting JAX events.
Hensley comes to Sporting JAX after nearly ten years in professional soccer ticketing. He most recently served as Senior Director of Ticketing for the USL’s Club Performance Group, where he worked with clubs throughout the league on ticketing strategies, revenue models, and customer engagement initiatives. In that role, he advised executive leadership within the USL network on data-driven decisions related to ticket sales, retention, and fan experience.
“Tim brings unmatched experience in ticketing strategy, sales leadership and fan engagement,” said Steve Livingstone, president and CEO of Sporting JAX. “His work across MLS and USL has made him one of the most respected executives in our industry, and his commitment to excellence will be invaluable as we continue building a top-tier professional soccer club in Northeast Florida. Tim’s expertise, leadership, and character make him a tremendous addition to our team, and we are excited to welcome him to the Sporting JAX family.”
“I am incredibly honored to join Sporting JAX to help build something truly special for this community,” said Hensely. “The club’s commitment to excellence, inclusivity and its fans reflects everything I value in this industry. I look forward to working with Steve, the ownership group and the entire front office team to build a ticketing and service department that delivers exceptional experiences, strong results and showcases the passion of Northeast Florida’s soccer fans.”
Before joining Sporting JAX, Hensley held various leadership positions with Nashville S.C., where he was instrumental during their move from USL to MLS. As Manager of Season Ticket Sales there, he led a team that generated more than $11 million in new business while developing key sales processes for full-season members.
Earlier in his career with New York City FC, Hensley helped expand business pipelines for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments across New York City by managing multiple ticket products. He began his career at Major League Soccer’s National Sales Center after completing its specialized training program. Hensley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Sporting Club Jacksonville—known as Sporting JAX—was established by local owners in 2020 with an aim of promoting soccer within Jacksonville through initiatives like launching women’s professional Gainbridge Super League play in 2024; introducing men’s USL Championship competition planned for 2026; building a 15,000-seat stadium; as well as developing training facilities designed to establish Jacksonville as an important center for soccer.
