The U.S. Census Bureau announced on March 19 the launch of USA Trade Online: Reimagined, marking a transition from the legacy USA Trade Online platform.

The update is significant for users who rely on trade data, as the platform has been a primary resource for nearly thirty years. The new version maintains access to the same trade data but introduces a modern and more intuitive interface designed to improve user experience.

Among the changes, users are no longer required to create an account to generate and save reports. Instead, reports can be saved using just an email address, removing the need for password management. Other features include enhanced navigation with all report selections consolidated onto a single screen, simplified report-sharing capabilities, improved collaboration tools, and redesigned report management that allows custom tagging and dataset filtering options.

A user guide is available for those seeking more information about how to use the updated tool. The Census Bureau also noted that the legacy version of USA Trade Online will be decommissioned by June. Users with saved reports on the old platform are encouraged to recreate and save them in the new system.

No additional news release was issued regarding this product; only a tip sheet was provided.
