Visit Sarasota County (VSC) has launched a new winter marketing campaign called “Share the Sunshine,” aiming to attract travelers during the peak tourism season. The campaign focuses on promoting Sarasota’s beaches, outdoor dining, and sunny weather through digital advertising and storytelling until mid-January.

The initiative directs potential visitors to a dedicated landing page that features blogs and content about local attractions, sightseeing spots, and holiday-themed events in a coastal setting. Visitors are also encouraged to use VSC’s new Seasons of Sunshine mobile pass, which is a free platform offering curated highlights updated monthly for areas including Venice, Sarasota, and Longboat Key.

Erin Duggan, President and CEO at Visit Sarasota County, stated: “It’s our role to create campaigns that don’t just follow a calendar but are created with input from our local businesses and residents, and this seasonal marketing program plays strongly into this approach. Our invite to potential visitors is simple: you don’t have to suffer the cold, because a trip to our region is all it takes to take in the sunshine – and we’ve got an abundance to share.”

The campaign targets residents in ten colder regions such as Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Cincinnati, and Washington D.C., as well as warm-weather drive markets like Fort Myers, Naples, Miami, Orlando and West Palm Beach. The goal is to encourage both day trips and weekend escapes during the winter season. This effort marks the beginning of VSC’s annual marketing theme “Your Season, Year Round,” highlighting Sarasota as an appealing destination throughout the year.
