Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is launching a new initiative aimed at encouraging travelers to use their remaining paid time off (PTO) before the year ends. The organization will offer up to $250 in gift cards for those who book trips through its official website, VisitSPC.com/PTO, for stays through the end of 2025.

The incentive comes as recent data from the Society for Human Resource Management indicates that nearly half of U.S. employees expect to leave vacation days unused this year. Through this program, travelers receive $50 in gift cards for each vacation day used, with a maximum reward of $250 for five nights booked.

“Don’t let your PTO go to waste when there’s still time to take a beach break,” said Steve Grimes, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit St. Pete-Clearwater. “Fall and early winter is the sweet spot here – perfect weather, lots of events, and now, we’re giving you a little extra spending money for that sunset meal or night out on the town.”

In addition to the cash incentive, visitors can access discounts at more than 50 local attractions, restaurants, and shops by using the FunShine Savings Passport—a free digital pass available through Visit St. Pete-Clearwater.

The region offers warm temperatures during fall and early winter and features award-winning beaches along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Visit St. Pete-Clearwater describes itself as a destination that combines beaches with cultural experiences, museums, dining options, recreational activities, and shopping opportunities.
