Thousands of people in Florida and Georgia participated in VyStar Credit Union’s “Good is everywhere” initiative, a month-long event focused on community service and member appreciation. The campaign aimed to recognize VyStar’s members while supporting local organizations through volunteer work.

During the event, VyStar employees volunteered 8,253 hours at 216 events across both states. These efforts included home renovations for Pine Castle residents in Jacksonville, operating a food pantry for students at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, and setting up STEM activities for youth at the Walt Disney World Clubhouse Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida in Orlando.

VyStar also offered free admission to museums, science centers, sporting events, and music venues as part of its appreciation for members. In total, there were 30 free experiences provided to the public and over 20,000 free admissions given through partnerships with community organizations.

Mayors from several cities—including Jacksonville, Orlando, Tallahassee, Gainesville (Florida), Orange County, Stockbridge, and Chatham County—officially recognized a “Good is everywhere Day” to honor VyStar’s contributions.

Patricia McElroy, SVP/President of VyStar Foundation said: “Our employees don’t just volunteer, they uplift the very neighborhoods our members call home. Through our ‘Good is everywhere’ celebration, we empower every team member to take action that strengthens our communities. Because when we come together to serve the communities where our members reside, we create lasting change where it matters most.”

VyStar Credit Union serves more than one million members with assets exceeding $14 billion and operates 78 branches throughout Florida and Georgia. The organization remains a major employer in Northeast Florida and offers membership to residents across multiple counties in both states as well as military personnel worldwide.
